Could A Framed Picture Be The Ideal Wedding Gift?

With summer fast approaching, chances are that you’ll be attending at least one wedding in the coming months. That means you’ll have to think about what to get the happy couple for a gift, as well as worrying about what you’re wearing to the service.

Many couples will set up a gift registry to help point you in the right direction if you’ve got no idea what to get for them. Brides magazine recently offered some advice on picking the perfect gift based on the registry.

The most important thing is to actually review the registry before you start. Even if you decide you’d like to get them something more personal than a new casserole dish, you might get some inspiration from their registry.

If they have frames or artwork on the list, you could go one step further by choosing a picture and having a bespoke frame made for it. Choose something personal to the couple – a photo or painting of their wedding venue could be a nice touch.

Hopefully you’ll know them well enough to have been to their home, so take cues from their interior decor choices when choosing a frame – and the artwork that will go in it.

Doing research is another tip from Brides magazine, which notes that you should think about what the couple love and how they spend their time when choosing a gift.

Don’t forget that you’ll also need to select a mount to surround the picture. Talk to your picture framers in London about the most appropriate colour and spacing if you’re not sure what to go for. Or take a look at our advice on mounting pictures.
