One you have found the best picture framers Uxbridge has to offer then you need to find some cutting edge art to fill your home with.
The world-famous Frieze art fair is taking place in Regents park from 5-8 October, and features art by 1,000 of today’s leading artists, from 160 of the world’s leading galleries.
So far, so reputable. However, if you are looking for something a little bit different (and cheaper!) then you may be interested in the Other Art Fair.
Taking place at exactly the same time as the Frieze Art Fair, but across town in Shoreditch, The Other Art Fair. This year’s exhibition is guest curated by Charles Saatchi, and is made up of artists from all over the world. Artists can apply themselves online but the final exhibition is whittled down by art experts from all walks of life and from across the artistic sphere.
There are 130 artists taking part, exhibiting a wide range of art and prices start from just £50, partly as the system allows you to bypass the gallery and their cut of the money, and buy directly from the artist, The Evening Standard reports.
As the fair is aimed at a lot of first time buyers the fair offers some suggestions on how you should decide on your purchases.
They suggest you consider what you like, if you like sculpture get that, if you prefer realism, then keep your eyes peeled.
